W#3 - Selor
Selor est « le local » du projet wonderwall. Actif depuis des années sur Cognac, il devait compter parmi les artistes présents. Il est de ceux qui ont l’urgence de chercher un nouveau mur, un nouveau support, une image forte, une rencontre. Il est de ceux qui inspirent et vous hissent à la prochaine marche.
L’œuvre de Selor se veut monumentale. Elle couvre l’ensemble du préau de la cale, la salle de spectacle associative situé dans le quartier de Crouin. Elle vous entoure, vous enivre, comme pour vous submerger.
Ici, l’artiste se questionne sur sa condition et partage sa réflexion avec le public sur la place de l’art dans le paysage urbain et la liberté d’expression sous « Big Brother ». Comme dans chacune de ses œuvres, le message se veut provocateur à la limite de l’insolence mais toujours respectueux.
« Ouvrir le dialogue »… c’est ce qu’il a fait en invitant des habitants du quartier et les collégiens voisins a venir comprendre son engagement.
Selor is the local artist of the project and was naturally integrated in the project. He is constantly looking for a new wall, a new support, a strong image, a meeting. He is inspiring and help us move to the next level.
His work is giangantic. It covers a covered courtyard, the Croin concert hall. The work surrounds us, make you feel dizzy and filled with emotions.
Here the artist questions his condition and shares his thoughs on the palce of art in the urban space and on freedom of speech under « Big brother » with the audience. His message is as usual provocative, almost rude but never disrespectful. He wants to open the dialogue.. He took time to invite the inhabitants of the neighbourhood and the school pupils who tried to understand his work.
